My work unites a fascination with the handmade and tactile with my love for the unpredictable, experimental and new. One day a few years ago my friend, Nicole Froechur, shared her wet plate collodion images with my students. I had to learn more. She and I made a deal; she could use my darkroom in exchange for teaching me everything she knew about the process that she had worked long and hard to learn.
