Posing and Styling

In the introduction to this book, I mentioned that it’s important to remember that the images you find in publications and magazines are created by full production teams. There are wardrobe stylists, makeup artists, and hairstylists who add their own stylistic approach to a subject’s appearance. In addition to that, it’s important to remember that often the subjects that you’ll find in magazines are actors, actresses, or models. These are people who spend their time practicing body language, posing, and facial expressions.

Unfortunately, most of our subjects don’t have the same experience that models, actresses, and dancers do. I’m also willing to bet that most of you reading this book do not have access to a wardrobe ...
