Time, Light, and Weather

Photography is often a strange mixture of rules and exceptions. As a general rule, the time of day, the available light, and the weather have a tremendous impact on your photographs. The tricky part is that the effect, just like the conditions, is variable. As you plan your excursions, consider these factors and try to use them to make your shots better. Will you be shooting in the morning, afternoon, or evening? Will the light be harsh or soft? Will the weather add interest to your photos or make it impossible to get a good shot?
