Gear

Camera, Lenses, and Memory Cards

When shooting sports in low light, the right gear is important. You need a camera that allows you to shoot at high—sometimes extremely high—ISO settings without producing a lot of noise. The right lens can make all the difference as well. You will want “fast glass,” which means lenses that open wide to allow as much light as possible to reach the sensor and create that shallow depth of field that makes your subject stand out from the background.
