Composition

Composition refers to how you place elements in your photo. As you shoot more photos you get a sense of what works and what does not. For many novices the urge is to put the subject in the center of the frame, but this often results in an uninteresting composition. The simplest way to create interesting compositions is to follow the rule of thirds. Imagine there are two horizontal lines splitting your scene into three, and the same vertically Line up your points of interest either along these lines or where they intersect.
