Strategy. Composing in the right direction
In order to decide how best to compose a picture, first notice the direction in which the subject is moving or the direction in which it is looking, and then leave some room in FRONT of it!
Since our pony is facing the right, it is better to position it at the left of the picture so that it can have some room to walk around in the picture.
On the other hand, in order to take a picture of this girl walking on the beach, I had to compose in the other direction in order to leave some room in front of her! I put her all the way at the right of the picture.
