Viewing system logs
This recipe describes how to view the pfSense system logs.
How to do it...
- Browse to Status | System logs.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Check Show log entries in reverse order (newest entries on top).
- Save the changes.
- Click the DHCP tab (for example) to view the most recent DHCP events:
How it works...
pfSense records significant events and logs them internally. The System logs menu item allows us to view the logs to help troubleshoot a variety of administrative issues.
