Chapter 17. Mobile Computing

Few business travelers can get by without their constant companion, a notebook (laptop or portable) computer. No longer do people regard notebooks as second computers. Notebooks contain most, if not all, of the same features as desktop computers. The only differences are the display, mouse, and keyboard, all of which you can replace with better third-party substitutes.

This chapter uses the term notebook computer in a generic way to refer to all mobile computers. Computers in this category vary in size and capability.
