Chapter 9. Exploiting Your Hardware

Hardware and software work together in today’s PCs to create a computing environment in which users can perform tasks literally unheard of just a few years ago. However, before users can gain the benefits a PC can provide, they have to tune the system to work at its peak efficiency (or have someone do it for them). That means optimizing the system in its entirety as well as optimizing individual components.
