Drawing People

If we place figures in our picture at random and do not measure them against one another, we will probably end up with some figures out of proportion and some appearing to float.

People are of a general height, and the minute a figure is placed in the picture, we automatically judge the size of all other objects in relation to it. Figures that are placed more distant will appear smaller.

It is simple to create a drawing with all of the figures in correct proportion to one another and to all other objects in the picture—here are some examples of how to achieve this.
