Circular Objects

We're not often concerned with drawing simple, flat circles in perspective. What we're generally concerned with is drawing three-dimensional objects whose cross sections are circular–objects such as bottles, columns, silos, and trees. Let's see how what we've learned about ellipses applies to these objects.

The Importance of Eye Level

Before we begin, though, let me repeat one important piece of advice. In Parts One and Two, I stressed the importance of establishing the eye level in a picture before doing any drawing. This admonition applies not only to rectangular objects, but to circular and other curved objects as well.
