Part II. THE SHIFT: Positive Focus, Positive Feelings

We get more of what we think about. Having positive thoughts and positive images leads to positive outcomes.

However, sometimes under pressure we get nervous; we tense up and contract. We lock onto our mental TV screen the very thoughts and images we want to avoid. We know we should be thinking relaxing thoughts, positive thoughts, yet we're stuck with anxious, negative thoughts. At times like that, it's important to be able to change channels and tune into power thoughts and highperformance images. And you can. The next two chapters describe how to change channels and release tension.
