JOE WAS EXHAUSTED when he got out of bed this morning. Once again, he had not slept well—lately, a common problem for him. He was worried about work. There were not only several new tasks and responsibilities he had to juggle, but also a pressing deadline he was working hard to meet and very well might miss. Joe simply didn’t feel like he could handle all the work on his plate.

Now Joe was running late. He couldn’t stop thinking about his ill sister, to whom he hadn’t spoken in days. It was impossible to find a good time to call. “No time, no time, no time,” Joe said to himself, realizing there was no time for his morning exercise, either, or even time to shave.
