Based on the research reviewed in this book, a theoretical model has been developed that may serve as a guide for future research. We have recommended that potential moderator variables of parenting and personality must be examined in concert with potential mediator variables of motivation and academic maladjustment to fully explain the impact of perfectionism on academic achievement.
