SECTION 3Create a Road Map

The team creates the team charter or road map at the team launch. That map is vital to the success of the team. For formal chartered teams, a face-to-face launch is ideal. Less formal teams might opt out of a face-to-face, but they should have a virtual launch meeting at the very least. If your virtual team is more of an alliance or partnership, scale down the recommendations here, but don’t ignore them. If your team is already launched, review this section anyway to see what elements in team formation you skipped over. You can use it for remedial cleanup work.
