Most broad-spectrum employee surveys seek to gain a top-level understanding of either employee satisfaction (how happy employees are with their jobs, work environment, and prospects) or employee engagement (how aligned employees are with the mission, vision, values, and strategy of the organization and how much energy and commitment they are willing to give the organization).
