In this chapter you will gain an understanding of the configuration of the PeopleSoft Enterprise Application. PeopleSoft is a web-based application that does not require an executable on the client to operate. It uses a configuration of a back-end database with physical database objects such as tables, views, and stored procedures, and a configured metadata that houses the configuration for the PeopleSoft Applications. The metadata includes but is not limited to records, fields, and PeopleCode objects. The database and the metadata repository must be in sync at all times.
