RMC Case Study

In August 1998, the chief information officer of RMC commissioned a project to renew emphasis on project management in the company’s CIS department. A project management team was formed to address this charter. A series of focus groups were held for people throughout the 250-person organization. Participants in the focus groups included managers and project management “practitioners”—in other words, project team members, the people who lead and work on information systems and information technology project teams every day.
