Human Resources: How Are They Faring on Your Project?

In a lessons-learned meeting after the completion of a major software implementation project, I asked, “What was the major challenge on this project?” The response, without hesitation, was “human resources.”

I should not have been surprised, but I was. With all the complexities of the project, this project manager still felt that management of human resources required much more energy and skill. The project manager emphasized that human resources were, by far, the most valuable resources.
