Time Management

Some people are motivated to do what they are supposed to do but don’t manage their time wisely. Steven Covey, in First Things First, says to make a to-do list every day (1994). Put an A beside the highest priorities, a B beside the next most-important items, and a C beside all of the others. Spend your time doing the A items until they are done, then work on the Bs. The Cs go in a drawer and are reviewed at the end of the day. Any Cs that have not moved to A go back in the drawer.

Concentrate on one thing at a time, relax, and give yourself some time to revitalize. Delegate, or ask for help. Remember that 80 percent of your time will be spent on 20 percent of the work.
