Creating a Collaborative Relationship

There is no formulaic approach, no magic wand that will resolve all problems. Each organization is unique and needs its own specific solutions based on sound project management principles. The organization’s goal should be to promote and support collaborative relationships.

Furthermore, a holistic program is needed to improve project performance. No one aspect of the organization and its performance can be addressed in isolation. Individual projects are performed as if they are autonomous rather than parts of higher-level programs. While this may be more efficient from the point of view of the individual project manager, it is detrimental to the program as a whole.
