The effective project manager must be willing to help meet the client representative’s internal organization needs. A project manager must recognize her role as one of assisting the client representative to get the job done. The project manager’s success becomes the client representative’s success. A client organization’s internal rewards (i.e., raises, promotions, commendations) may very well be linked to performance of the project manager’s organization.
