The Ability to Create and Nurture a Vision
As a leader, it is important to create and nurture a vision—a far-reaching purpose—that you can share with your entire team and that the team can think about all day long, all week long, all project long. This vision will translate into the team purpose. Having a purpose has a powerful effect on the positive outcome of the team’s mission. Not only does a purpose channel the energies of the team into a single focus, it helps to ensure that the tradeoffs and compromises made along the way fully support the vision.
