5.4 PORE-SCALE TRANSPORT

Continuum macroscopic approach is a preferred method to study transport phenomena in porous media. Fully accounting for the wide-spanning length scale and real pore structures is in general computationally costly. Macroscopic methods use several effective parameters to account for the information of structure feature; thus, these parameters must be known or can be predetermined.
