Part IX. Working with Data and Scripts

We finish up in the last part talking about XML data and scripting using FormCalc and JavaScript. In Chapter 29 we begin this part covering the two scripting languages you use in Designer, using the Script Editor, and comparing scripting languages. In Chapter 30 we talk about distributing forms, saving templates, and using Form Guides. In Chapter 31 we cover working with data, creating new data connections, and binding data to data connections.

In Chapter 32 we examine some sample forms and demonstrate how the sample forms installed with Designer can be modified for your own personal use. In Chapter 33 we talk about databases and getting data out of Designer and into a database file and vice versa.

In Chapter 34 we introduce you to working with LiveCycle ES servers. For industrial strength forms use, this chapter offers you information on how servers manage form data and the kinds of server products that are available to support data from Designer forms.
