Appendix A. Using the CD-ROM

This appendix provides information on the contents and system requirements of the CD-ROM that accompanies this book.

System Requirements

The CD is a cross-platform CD and can be read by both Macintosh and Windows computers. Macintosh users need System 10.2 or above. Windows users need Windows XP Service Pack 2 or above or Windows Vista.

Installation Instructions

To install the items from the CD to your hard drive, follow these steps.

  1. Insert the CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

    The license agreement appears.

    Note to Windows users: The interface won't launch if you have autorun disabled. In that case, choose Start

    Note for Mac Users: When the CD icon appears on your desktop, double-click the icon to open the CD and double-click the Start icon.

    Check your CD build to verify the name of this icon.

  2. Read through the license agreement and then click the Accept button if you want to use the CD.

    The CD interface appears. The interface allows you to browse the contents and install the programs with just a click of a button (or two).

  • The entire text of this book as a PDF document with an embedded index

  • Author-created forms and sample files

  • Author-created eBook on PDF forms tips
