Book description
IBM Tivoli Configuration Manager 4.2 was launched in October 2002. Along with many new functional and performance features, it includes an enhanced Web-based device management capability, called Tivoli Web Gateway, running on top of IBM WebSphere Application Server.
This IBM Redbooks publication describes in detail the steps required to install and configure the Tivoli Web Gateway and all the prerequisite products, to allow a successful implementation of a pervasive device management environment.
While the information provided by this book can be used on deployments of any size, it will be particularly useful to enable the management of pervasive devices by small and medium businesses (SMBs). It will also help Business Partners and IBM services when setting up demonstrations and proofs of concept.
