Chapter 17. Repairing Your PC

Upgrading and repairing a desktop PC are arts that anybody can master. If you can wield a knife and fork without poking yourself in the eye, you have the requisite dexterity to perform any PC upgrade or repair task. If you can dress yourself in the morning, you have the needed organizational abilities to coordinate any PC upgrade and repair project.

That’s not to say that working on the innards of a PC is trivial work—far from it. It’s just that installing and configuring components such as an expansion card and memory module seem like tasks that require an advanced electrical engineering degree.
