Transaction Layer Packet Routing Basics

The third class of link traffic originates in the Transaction Layer of one device and targets the Transaction Layer of another device. These Transaction Layer Packets (TLPs) are forwarded from one link to another as necessary, subject to the routing mechanisms and rules described in the following sections.
