So far in this book, we have been treating components (resistors, capacitors, and inductors) as if they were ideal. That is, we have been treating them as if they were pure resistors, capacitors, or inductors. In reality, of course, this is not the case. Figure 9-1 shows some of the parasitic impedances we need to worry about when we deal with the basic components.
