Configuring parallel ports under Linux

Linux has made great strides in adding support for various parallel modes. Linux 2.0 supported only Compatibility Mode and Nibble Mode. Beginning with 2.4, the Linux parallel port subsystem supports all standard IEEE-P1284.3 modes.
