Getting Ready to Sell

As a seller who accepts PayPal, you have tremendous flexibility when it comes to choosing how you want to accept payments from buyers and how you want to sell your goods or services. In this chapter, I show you how to set up your selling preferences and decide which of PayPal's many options is right for you and your business. (Even if your so-called “business” is just occasionally selling stuff on eBay.)

Setting Up Your Selling Preferences

You can find your selling preference options by logging into your PayPal account and clicking the Profile link. Under the Selling Preferences column, you see the options that are available to you, depending upon the type of account you have.

image Non-U.S. accounts do not have the same options as U.S. accounts. Table 7-1 shows the selling preferences available by account type.
