The information at rest patterns describe how information is accessed and stored. There are four levels to this:
• At the top are the INFORMATION SERVICES. They provide information processes with a well-defined interface to access stored information. The information services call information collections.
• INFORMATION COLLECTIONS are stored collections of related information.
• This information is typically organized into well-defined structures that are represented by the INFORMATION ENTRY patterns.
