Chapter 5. Information at Rest

The information at rest patterns describe how information is accessed and stored. There are four levels to this:

• At the top are the INFORMATION SERVICES. They provide information processes with a well-defined interface to access stored information. The information services call information collections.

INFORMATION COLLECTIONS are stored collections of related information.
