Getting an overview of Initiating a Project

In a nutshell, this process:

Marks the start of the project. The project begins as the process Initiating a Project begins.

Covers the production of the Project Initiation Documentation (PID).

Covers the production of the Project Plan, which forms a section of the PID.

Is primarily the responsibility of the Project Manager, although the Project Manager also consults other people, including Project Board members (something that isn’t conveyed by the main process model for PRINCE2).
