The management stage boundary is a crucial control in PRINCE2 – in fact it’s the most important control. The stage boundaries form key points where the Project Board will check that the project is okay and then specifically authorise the next ‘block’ of work – the next stage.

Going through PRINCE2 processes can be a bit overwhelming. You may find that all the process and activity boxes begin to blur together and march around inside your head, rather like the pink elephants in the Walt Disney film Dumbo. However, if you can stand back and see the logic, then everything is easier both to understand and remember, and you can send the pink pachyderms packing.
