Almost all of the principal electronic components of the PLATINUM PANAFLEX, including the on-board computer chips, are mounted on three (four in the case of the GII and earlier PANAFLEXES) easily changeable plug-in circuit boards mounted vertically on either side of the camera motor.

If the camera fails to function correctly, and the possibility of battery failure has been eliminated, all circuit boards can swiftly be changed in the field by the Camera Assistant.

A spare set of circuit boards (and a motor cover tool for the GII etc.), is supplied with all cameras. Experience has shown, however, that the likelihood of an electronic circuit failure is very small.
