Checking the Aperture Plate and Matte

Before operating any PANAFLEX or PANASTAR camera check that the aperture plate is clean, that the matte (if fitted) is appropriate to the shoot and that the gate is clean.

Removing PANAFLEX, PANAFLEX 16 and PSR Aperture Plates

To remove the aperture plate, inch the camera until the pull-down claw is at the bottom of its stroke, after it is disengaged from the film, and the registration pins are fully engaged.

Pull out the spring loaded register pin retraction knob and slide it back to clear the register pins from the film perforations.
