Magazine Systems
Electric contacts on PANAFLEX and PANASTAR camera magazine ports supply power to the magazine take-up motors and motor heaters and to the PANACLEAR and PANAFLASHER accessories.
The contacts which are common to all PANAFLEX cameras are as follows: 1. Ground, 2. Magazine motor+, 3. 24v+ to PANACLEAR and other accessories.
Other contacts are used for supplying power to the magazine heaters and for the switching, reverse running, footage counter, etc. circuits on the various cameras.
When power is not connected to a magazine, loose film on either the supply or on the take-up side can be tightened by pushing in the center of the motor and clutch covers on the back of the magazine and turning clockwise.
