The Camera Heater

PANAFLEX cameras are fitted with internal heaters to keep the bearings warm in cold environments. The heaters, which are thermostatically controlled at 70°F, 21°C, draw 2½ to 6 amps.

Whenever the internal heaters are likely to be used care should be taken in advance to ensure there will be an adequate supply of fully charged batteries or a battery eliminator available, bearing in mind the increased amperage required to power the heaters when they are in use. A yellow ‘heater-on’ light to the right of the power supply socket on the rear of the camera indicates when the heaters are operating. A red LED warning light on the Annunciator Panel will indicate if the power supply is inadequate.
