Preparing a PANAFLEX Camera for Hand Holding

Before converting a PANAFLEX camera from a mounted configuration to a hand-held mode it is necessary to have the following items at hand:

  1. 500' or 250' magazine (usually)
  2. Right hand grip
  3. Left hand grip
  4. Shoulder rest
  5. Short eyepiece
  6. Belt or onboard battery.

If the camera is to be used in the hand-held mode (except for the PANAFLEX-X, which is not intended for hand-held use) first change from the long to the short eyepiece. If the camera is mounted on a PANAHEAD it is usually easier to make this change before dismounting the camera.
