Setting up a PANAVISION PANAHEAD
The PANAVISION PANAHEAD geared head fits on any regular tripod, dolly or camera crane equipped with a standard Mitchell type interface.
When setting the PANAHEAD in place be sure that the male locating key on the underside of the head is properly located in the keyway of the tripod etc. and secure it by using the locking knob supplied.
Attach the pan and tilt handwheels by the central locking knobs after aligning the keyways correctly. The handwheel with the removable finger knob should be fitted in the tilt (rear) position.
Release the pan and tilt locking levers and check for smoothness of movement in all three speed ratios. In the gyro head mode the handwheels act as flywheels to smooth out the pan and tilt ...
