Electronic Synchronizer Systems

The sync speeds of PANAFLEX cameras are derived from quartz crystal oscillators to accuracies better than one frame in one hour ensuring safe synchronization with sound recorders and HMI lighting, providing they are speed controlled to a similar degree of accuracy. Even if the speeds were to drift to their maximum during the course of the longest possible take (11 minutes, the running time of a 1000 ft. roll of film) there would still be no noticeable loss of sync or discernible flicker.

In the case of the PLATINUM PANAFLEX the camera can be crystal controlled at any speed, in 0.1 fps increments, from 4 to 36 fps, including 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps.

There are occasions, however, when the camera must be positively ...
