Keyboard Shortcuts

Here are a few of the default keyboard shortcuts that you might find handy. Remember that you can customize keyboard shortcuts for almost all menu items and commands in Painter through Corel Painter X/Edit > Preferences > Customize Keys, in addition to which you can create your own shortcut buttons in a custom palette (Window > Custom Palettes > Add Command).

 

Tab	Hides/shows palettes
Cmd/Ctrl-O	Open file
Cmd/Ctrl-N	New file
Cmd/Ctrl-M	Mounts/unmounts your canvas on the screen
Cmd/Ctrl-0 (number zero, not letter “O”)	Zoom to Fit
Cmd/Ctrl- “+”	Zoom in
Cmd/Ctrl- “–”	Zoom out
Shift-Cmd-S/Shift-Ctrl-S	Save As

Spacebar held down when the Brush tool is selected turns the cursor into a Grabber Hand ...
