Working with Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word

The previous samples of output from Microsoft Word showed the document in print preview mode. This was done so that you could see how the titles would appear in a printed Word document. However, this is not what you see when you first open an ODS RTF file in Word.

When you first open an RTF document, you see it in normal view or page layout view (depending on your default settings). In this view, you might be surprised by how faint the titles and footnotes look. Instead of the bold fonts you were expecting, you see pale gray text.
