Chapter 11. Modifying and Replaying ODS Output

New in SAS®9 is the ODS DOCUMENT destination and the DOCUMENT procedure, which is the companion procedure intended for use with the DOCUMENT destination. This chapter describes both the DOCUMENT destination and how to use PROC DOCUMENT to create, manage, and replay items sent to this destination.

An ODS document is a special kind of proprietary SAS file that contains the results of your analyses before the output has been sent to the final result file. Think of an ODS document as being a pause in the ODS process. You might want to divert procedure output into an ODS document for several reasons.
