Customizing Your Selections for Each Output Destination

Using the SELECT or EXCLUDE statements to limit your results can be helpful, but you need to be careful. By dropping some of the output, you might miss something important. For example, what if the frequency table in the previous example contained some unexpected missing data? You might not spot the problem by just looking at the ChiSq output object.

The best way to avoid this problem is to produce your desired output object reports using HTML, RTF, or PDF output; but keep the full output in the Output window. This way you can review the detailed listing output before you start using the summary report.
