Controlling Column Widths with PROC REPORT
For listing output, you can use the COLWIDTH= option in the PROC REPORT statement or the WIDTH= option in the DEFINE statement to control column widths. For the other destinations, these options have no effect. Instead, the CELLWIDTH= or WIDTH= style attribute allows you to control the width of columns in your PROC REPORT output. You can specify the attribute several different ways: in the PROC REPORT statement, which sets a default width for all columns; in a COMPUTE statement, which sets the default width for LINE output; or in a DEFINE statement, which sets the default width for the column or columns listed in the DEFINE statement.
