In this chapter, you find out how Business Contact Manager keeps track of tasks. These are the same tasks that are part of Outlook, except you can link them to contacts, accounts, or opportunities in BCM.

Why do you want to use tasks, you ask? You remember things you have to do — you have a memory like an elephant, right? Well, time management gurus have said for decades that the way to reduce stress in your life, be more productive, and accomplish more with greater efficiency centers around managing tasks. The number one rule: Get stuff out of your head and into a task management system, either on paper or on a computer. If you choose to do this on a computer, you have BCM to help! After you enter a task into BCM, your head is lighter, and BCM helps you keep track of what needs to be done and when it's due. And even after you've completed a task, you have a record of it in BCM's communication history so that you can refer to it when necessary.
