Chapter 2. Conflict and Shot Selection

Good editing comes down to decision making. Now that you understand the story arc, as discussed in Chapter 1, you have some foundation on which to base your decisions. Making the right choices when you’re editing can be the difference between polished editing and choppy editing.

Shot selection comes into play in a very big way when it comes to conflict. Chapter 1 briefly touches on conflict, sometimes known as the exciting force.
