RFC 1583: OSPF Version 2

This RFC is similar to RFC 1247, which it deprecates. In fact, they are backward-compatible and will interoperate with each other. The differences between them involve OSPF virtual links and some enhancements and clarifications, both minor in nature.

Some of the more general changes that were not discussed in detail but are mentioned and discussed in the RFC are the following: TOS encoding updated, flushing anomalous network links advertisements, summarizing routes into stub areas, summarizing routes into transit areas, and a variety of small changes.
